EMORY
You can search WWII Vets by name at these sites:
National WWII Memorial – Washington, DC
Commonwealth War Graves Commision
American Battle Monuments Commisison
FRAYNE
has this database:
U.S. Veterans Gravesites ca. 1775-2006
Burial and gravesite information for almost 3.5 million veterans of the U.S. military, 1775-2006
They also have the draft cards of those who served in WW2.
Another site,, might have him listed, too. Just enter his name, birth/death dates and state he died, and click to check by his name. They might tell you to check for him on if they don’t show him.
If you had put your uncle’s name in your question, I could have looked it up for you. My email is in my profile.
