ssakcaj asked:
i know my great grandfather served in the US military during WWII, but thats all i know. where do i go to figure out what his unit was, where he was serving, and all that other stuff?

All of the older records are kept in St. Louis I believe. I’m not sure how you would go about contacting the office where his records actually are, but I bet if you go into an army recruiting office, they can point you in the right direction, good luck!
check with the veterans of foreign wars, VFW. they should have some info, if not they could point you in the right direction. good luck.
