And if you did get your identity stolen, obviously they would take that into consideration if they did check your medical files. They don’t, but they can. If you have an asthma attack in basic, yes they will. If you are healthy and honest, I wouldn’t worry about it. But do tell your recruiter that your identity was stolen!

In addition, by signing item #24 of that same form you affirm under penalty of perjury that your answers have been truthful and you also give the military the authority to gain access to your medical records.
In trying to “game” the system, it is just like making a bet at a casino. The house has the edge. So, if you lie on that form about your medical history and the symptoms of what you hid show up after entry, you will be discharged for a pre-existing disqualifying condition, while you will have wasted taxpayers’ money and the talents and time of people to no avail.

yes they do check your records, and if you’re caught lying to the military they can give you a fine starting at 5000 dollars and face a court marshal.

yes, they check everything very thoroughly. if you get caught lying or misleading them into believing something other than the truth, you will face discharge. as you move up in rank and get more security clearances, they check back into you history even further. best to be honest now (not saying that you have anything to hide).

They will look into anything that you reveal to them. If you had a broken arm when you were 15, they would only know if you mentioned it. Your recruiter should tell you these things. I had asthma, 3 broken bones and my appendix out before joining. Unless its something serious that will hinder your performance as a soldier, dont mention it and youll be fine. Good Luck!!
